Many modern self-help writers aver that we earn in direct relation to the service we provide. That is patently untrue with senior UK doctors, if continuing reports are to be believed.
Their salaries are increasing stratospherically yet the service we get is declining almost as much. MPs work substantially less now yet earn ever more. Why is this?
Later: working on Wise Elīs Book of Big Thoughts with a pause for a couple of tech crashes have sidetracked this thought. Will return to it another time.
PS And now the HP Officejet is AGAIN being troublesome. Definitely the worst printer I have ever bought. Can I afford another one I wonder?
