You´d think after 25 plus years of successful selling, I´d be inured to rejection, but I´m not. Or perhaps this was just a damp miserable day having a damp, miserable effect. It´s not as if that particular rejection was unexpected, given the freebies I´ve thrown at it, with only nice words and bugger all else in return.
It kind of goes hand in glove with Ecclestiastes´ gloomy prognostication that there is nothing new blah blah blah. So why precisely do we all bother?
Even my kind of mysticism is nothing new either. Although I am currently querying truth. Yes, I still believe in God, my bit of God, but I wonder whether a higher sentient is simply leaving a celestial record on endless loop in our part of the universe, because the similarities of message are - well, similar.
Even known rules of physics tend to match metaphysical precepts, although Skeptic et al would disagree.
But there definitely has been a miserable vibe to today, not much helped by wanting some sign of all this promise, without always having to be Saturday´s child.
Meanwhile, it´s an odd sort of a world when one person attacks another and those who had absolutely nothing at all to do with it have to pay compensation. cf Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. Why? Why on earth should the taxpayer have to pay? Surely the criminal should pay the victim, not the rest of us?
Even crazier when small children are doing the thumping. Isn´t that their nature to speak with their hands?
On the art front, I have taken to doing small therapy pieces. It helps to unwind and I feel there is still a message with the shapes and colours although it is not so apparent at the time. The corner image is from yesterday. I have yet to do today´s.
