Fri 10: Criticism of Michael Jackson is unlikely to ever end. Innocence is viewed through subjective lens at the best of times. That aside, his changing physiognomy will forever signal that he was on a different wavelength to the rest of us. But the key issue is surely `the rest of us´. Or rather his fans.
By fans, I mean his proper fans. Not people like me who bought some of his music and occasionally tuned in to his (mis) adventures. A proper fan would have known `Prince´ was his grandfather´s name (discovered this morning!).
It is shared moments in his and our spiritual journey that grab my attention. Knowing where and what I was doing when `Working Day and Night´ was in the charts (dancing in Belsize Park). Believing in his innocence and therefore trusting my intuition. Should he have been found guilty, then it would have meant questioning my instincts.
PS Channel 4’s Life Class has ended. It was less helpful than expected but still worth following.

Nice post. Your comments about his changing face are pertinent. One feels that some people’s presumption that his child molestation ‘guilt’was obvious as he looked like a ‘freak’. A writer/blogger called Pop Feminist has written very well on this.
