in giving

arghSaturday 10: Real enthusiasm is so rare, that to see Michael Farr, Tintinologist, sharing his very evident pleasure, brings a big smile to this freezing morning. Farr, who I have never heard of before, seems a tremendous character in a sort of Woosterish kind of way, and one that we hardly ever see on the box these days, when even Royalty adopt Estuary English.

Anyway, he has made me want to buy a TinTin book.

I need that smile with the now-you-see-it-now-you-donīt PayPal Donate Button in the forum.

Yesterday, the Amazon widget code went bananas and multiplied every time I went near the admin block. So I had to delete it and re-enter it and it seems stable now. But the In Giving We Receive block seems to keep disappearing. Is Google Analytics to blame?

Plus the PayPal Buy Now button is neatly in place in the Art Gallery but does not click on the relevant page. Will it work here? Test link below.

Meanwhile: Is there life on the Moon? Probably. Yet writers persist in calling them aliens. Surely they are only aliens if they come here? As we would be if we went there. Itīs that human arrogance thing again where any sentient that is not a human is a lowlife. Boy, do we have some lesson coming.

As an aside, do you ever wish you had been born into another family? Admittedly, I have only felt that way once, recently. However, as a child, I often felt I had been born into the wrong family, not in resemblance, but in my inner self. Perhaps that is part of an evolving spiritual journey to have taxing close relationships?

I quoted Stuart Wilde in the forum this morning about life and struggle. He, like a lot of New Age writers, believes that adoption of metaphysical principles means life becomes a bed of roses. Even for someone utterly focused on self, this is simply not possible, not if one wants to evolve spiritually. Besides, a trouble-free sunny valley would be devoid of any technology.

Later: Went shopping and popped in to see Ma, and no, the blessed button is still playing hide and seek in the forum.

There is something rather tragic about an empty fridge. This morning, mine had nothing in the freezer, three eggs in a carton, two green chillis, a kiwi fruit and one onion. And some acidophilus which I forget to take.

Buying lots of vegetables was a must, plus I read that tomato juice is good for dermatitis. Six cartons, on special offer, should prove or disprove that theory. However, I also got some calendula carrier oil, fennel and geranium, to make my own facial massage potion. And another health shop told me chickweed ointment is good too. However there have been endless recommendations with most not working for me. Sudacrem actually made it worse as did one of the Liz Earle products but her Skin Repair Moisturiser seems good.

The discarded products have now been turned into body creams or bubble baths, so not wasted.

Oddly, neither health shop managers could see my blotches, despite me having a relapse. Thatīs mineral makeup for you! All now off and itīs back to bare face plus gloop. And a glass of wine.

    Hi Euphrosene,

I know just how Wise-El is feeling - an emotion well captured! :)

The Donate button in the forum should now be working - you need to give the ‘anonymous’ user group ‘permission’ to see the block.

I suspect the problem with the Buy Now Paypal button on the gallery is the actual code you copied and Pasted from Paypal, as the donate button is working correctly. Try making a new one and click yes, where it asks if you want to encrypt the code.

    Cheers, T.

Hi Tracy - Ah. (Picture scales dropping form yes) I’ll get a new one later today.

    Cheers Euphrosene

PS Aren’t you supposed to be looking after your health and not working silly hours? And on a Sunday! Tch tch.
