Wednesday 20: Cancer is a major issue with our family right now - one NandD is having skin cancerous cells removed on Friday and Ma has a pancreatic version. Grandma L died of breast cancer and I was once diagnosed with a shadow on mine. (I never went back and am fine now - not that I would recommend something similar for anyone else!)
Yet, when a celebrity, however that celebrity status was gained and kept, gets cancer, they suddenly get an aura of goodness and light. To wish them well yet still keep some critical faculties, suddenly puts you in the same frequency as Hitler or Pol Pot. Why?
Cancer does not always kill. However, to say so indicates, to some, a lack of compassion. Probably just as well as I didn´t mention the mind-body connection in spiritual metaphysics!
Or Louise Hay: "Deep hurt. Longstanding resentment. Deep secret or grief eating away at the self. Carrying hatreds. `What´s the use?´"
A medical analogy (spotted on a BBC site) appeals to my metaphysical beliefs: "our bodies are made up of billions of tiny cells. Each cell grows, divides then dies in strict order. A cancer cell is one that refuses to die, dividing over and over again. It doesn’t stop. Soon there are millions of cancer cells, all stubbornly refusing to die."
Since I believe every single cell that makes us who we are, has God potential, it neatly describes the way some work for individual gain, not for the benefit of the whole. Ultimately though, the whole suffers.
Also on cells, Peter Higgs claims ownership of a theory where tiny particles make up everything.
Ownership of a scientific theory possibly, but not of a spiritual principle which pre-dates his `dream´ by many thousands of years. Still, it is good that science is getting ideas from spiritual metaphysics. And curious that when a scientist theorises, that is acceptable. When a guru or spiritual evangelist teaches, they are deluded.
And there is more spiritually, in that even those tiny particles give way to nothing. Hence the spiritual principle of illusion.
Cancerous cells are a sad and negative perspective to the `boson´ particle, in my view. They have created particles of their own which can then increase in power.
BTW, if there is going to be a recession, constantly predicted and hanging over us all like the Sword of Damocles, there will be rising unemployment. What then for New Labour´s immigration policy - and the many migrant workers we already have?
While I believe these things are cyclical and the pain will pass, the idiots in power have evidently not thought ahead. What are we supposed to tell all these people who swarmed over here to make new lives? Go back? Hardly. Yet the social system will collapse if everyone makes a claim on it.
And here´s a spiritual paradox. We are all part of the same Great Everything. What we do for others, we do for ourselves, hence `love thy neighbour as thyself´. Presumably, that was the spiritual undercurrent of CICA - Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
Yet it now seems as if such higher ideals have been darkened by the human cancers - those who claim for any and everything. Why, for example, should the public pot pay out for someone who has been raped? Or for relatives who have lost someone to a violent crime?
Surely they should claim from those who did the damage, but, like the apparently overflowing sewer (still no smell but workmen have been for short spells for the last two or three working days), we all pay.
PS Those same political idiots are as shortsighted with our island space, concreting over it to build unsustainable housing. It wouldn´t surprise me at all if, in my lifetime, this terraced house of mine gets a sea view. Now what would happen if and when we need the land back again for food? Not such a farfetched thought.
Perhaps the political pygmies DO know and that´s why they are scoffing up as much public cash as they can get away with?
