Victoria Beckham and Pythagoras do not normally trip off the tongue, but it appears they may have number mysticism in common.

Pythagoreans believed that each number had special characteristics and were a way of communing with the divine. Indeed number mysticism stretches back thousands of years and can be found in most spiritual traditions, with remarkably similar values. 8, for example, is generally viewed as the number of potential and growth. In Feng Shui, 8 sounds similar to the Chinese word for ‘prosperous’ and is used to attract wealth.

Scientologists have taken mysticism a step further and see 8 as the number of infinity. It is also their current highest level of ‘Operating Thetan’, something Mrs Beckham is unlikely to be at this stage.

Victoria should be warned, however. The 8 vibration is also one of challenge. While it attracts extreme success, it is also the number of unpredictability … and extreme failure.
